What we are doing
Farmer training in agroecology, soil fertility, pest management and Participatory Guarantee Systems for organic markets.
317 farmers (189 women, 128 men) in Kaberamaido and Mityana learned agroecology principles, soil and water conservation, compost making, integrated pest and disease management, agroforestry and Participatory Guarantee Systems. Farmers report better yields, less spending on synthetic inputs and higher household incomes.
