This is a multi-year project which started in 2007 and is implemented in Mubende District. Over the years, farmer groups have received small interest free loans to enable them buy or rent land, pay for farm labour or buy animals and seeds. The project provides greater stability for families. It also has huge long term positive effects for ending poverty cycles within communities. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the external team was not able to conduct the regular visits to assess new groups to benefit from the project. Only 4 farmer groups were assessed. The project is funded by Rotary Club of Abingdon Vesper, Oxford.
