This is a multi-year project which started in 2007 is implemented in Mubende District. Over 102 farmer groups have received small interest free loans to enable them buy or rent some land, pay for labour or buy animals and seeds. The project provides greater stability for families. It also has huge long term positive effects for ending poverty cycles within communities. During the year, 22 groups benefited from the loans. They were trained in bookkeeping and practices of sustainable organic agriculture. The project is funded by Rotary Club of Abingdon Vesper, Oxford.
