{"id":3131,"date":"2025-06-20T07:06:45","date_gmt":"2025-06-20T07:06:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kulika.org\/?post_type=job_listing&#038;p=3131"},"modified":"2025-06-20T07:07:34","modified_gmt":"2025-06-20T07:07:34","slug":"meal-assistant-monitoring-evaluation-accountability-learning","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/www.kulika.org\/de\/job\/meal-assistant-monitoring-evaluation-accountability-learning\/","title":{"rendered":"MEAL Assistant (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability &amp; Learning)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Vacancy Announcement<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Position<\/strong>: MEAL Assistant (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability &amp; Learning)<br \/>\n<strong>Location<\/strong>: Terego \/ Maracha Districts<br \/>\n<strong>Duration<\/strong>: 23 Months<br \/>\n<strong>Reporting to<\/strong>: Project Officer<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>About Kulika Uganda<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Kulika Uganda (KU) is a non-profit organization committed to inspiring communities, households, and individuals with self-confidence, and providing skills and knowledge to harness their resources for sustainable economic and environmental change.<\/p>\n<p>With funding from Wilde Ganzen Foundation\/IKON, Kulika Uganda is implementing a project titled:<br \/>\n\u201cIncreasing Employment and Entrepreneurial Opportunities for Out-of-School Youth\u201d in Terego and Maracha districts.<\/p>\n<p>To support effective implementation, Kulika Uganda seeks a qualified and motivated MEAL Assistant to join the project team.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Role Purpose:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The MEAL Assistant will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of a robust Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) system to ensure effective tracking of project performance. He\/she will assist in planning M&amp;E activities, collecting and analyzing data, ensuring accountability mechanisms are in place, and preparing timely reports to guide decision-making and learning.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Duties and Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and implement tools for data collection, analysis, and reporting in line with the project\u2019s MEAL plan.<\/li>\n<li>Support the design and execution of baseline, midline, and endline evaluations.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor project activities and outputs to ensure alignment with project indicators and targets.<\/li>\n<li>Compile and review activity reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.<\/li>\n<li>Track key performance indicators and provide regular updates to the project team.<\/li>\n<li>Support learning and reflection activities to improve project effectiveness and relevance.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain project databases and ensure data quality, integrity, and security.<\/li>\n<li>Build the capacity of field staff on MEAL tools and processes.<\/li>\n<li>Support accountability to project beneficiaries by implementing feedback and complaints mechanisms.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with donor and organizational MEAL requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications and Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in a relevant field such as, Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics, social sciences, Economics, or a related discipline.<\/li>\n<li>A postgraduate diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation is an added advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience in M&amp;E, data management, and documentation within the NGO or development sector<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience working with refugee and host communities is highly desirable.<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical and reporting skills with demonstrated ability to interpret data for decision-making.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in M&amp;E tools and software (e.g., Excel, KoboToolbox, ODK, SPSS, etc.).<\/li>\n<li>Motorcycle riding skills with a valid riding permit is mandatory.<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to work in rural communities.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of local languages spoken in the project area<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applicants should submit a motivation letter and detailed CV to <a href=\"mailto:recruitment@kulika.org\" data-no-translation=\"\">recruitment@kulika.org<\/a> before 5pm, on 23<sup>rd<\/sup> June\u00a0 2025.<\/p>","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_promoted":"","_job_location":"Maracha","_application":"recruitment@kulika.org","_company_name":"Kulika Uganda","_filled":0,"_featured":0,"_remote_position":0,"_job_salary":"","_job_salary_currency":"","_job_salary_unit":""},"job-types":[],"class_list":["post-3131","job_listing","type-job_listing","status-publish","hentry"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.kulika.org\/de\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/job-listings\/3131","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.kulika.org\/de\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/job-listings"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.kulika.org\/de\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/job_listing"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.kulika.org\/de\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.kulika.org\/de\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=3131"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"job_listing_type","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.kulika.org\/de\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/job-types?post=3131"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
