Kulika’s interest in transforming livelihoods of the people we serve while maintaining the environment we live in keeps us growing. We generated the social hypotheses statements that clearly point us to the theory of change for the world that we want to see. The statements also play a part in guiding our areas of intervention.
If the beneficiaries increase farm yields, have enough nutritious food to eat, market their products, they will be encouraged to practice ecological organic agriculture and pass the knowledge to other farmers through farmer to farmer extension.
We strive to come up with widely agreed position to make sure that we stay relevant to the current needs of the communities that we serve. We keep tracing progress and measuring our impact from time to time by visiting our beneficiaries. We are particularly encouraged when beneficiaries practice what they have learnt, going beyond the training protocol by being innovative. We are thrilled by the hard work of beneficiaries who by their effort give the organization a chance to rethink alternative approaches to make it even better. We work to establish long term relationships with beneficiary groups and individuals.
If the scholarship beneficiaries utilize the skills learnt and perform well in the jobs they get employed to, then Kulika’s scholarship program will get recognized and many other scholars will get the opportunity to get sponsored.
We conduct tracer studies for the scholars who complete their studies. We continuously call upon them to share their stories of success which they do so very happily!
If we generate funds from social businesses, we shall be able to supplement donor funds and support communities longer than the limits of grants provided and so work to consolidate achievements
We stay longer in the communities we serve, beyond the prescribed project life and maintain communication with the beneficiaries over a long period of time. We do this through physical visits, phone communications, e-mails and meetings.
